We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Engineer Contractor to join our IT team, you will assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's network infrastructure. You will work closely with Senior Network Engineers and other IT professionals to ensure the performance, security, and scalability of our network systems. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in networking concepts, is a proactive problem solver, and is eager to learn and contribute in a collaborative environment.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Engineer Contractor to join our IT team, you will assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's network infrastructure. You will work closely with Senior Network Engineers and other IT professionals to ensure the performance, security, and scalability of our network systems. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in networking concepts, is a proactive problem solver, and is eager to learn and contribute in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and deployment of network infrastructure
- Maintain and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls
- Support DNS, DHCP, and AAA systems
- Monitor network performance and resolve issues using diagnostic tools
- Contribute to network documentation and operational procedures
- Collaborate with team members to support secure and efficient networking operations
- 3+ years of experience in a technical enterprise environment focused on network management and maintenance
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and subnetting
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto)
- Knowledge of DNS and DHCP systems such as Infoblox
- Experience with AAA systems such as Cisco Client
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, PRTG)
- Basic understanding of LAN/WAN environments and wireless technologies
- Knowledge of network security practices such as VPNs, access control, and firewalls
- Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems in a networked environment
- Basic knowledge of cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
