Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. This role will focus on grants, expenses, and accounts payable management while providing essential financial oversight and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards. Responsibilities:
- Perform final review of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions
- Administer the corporate credit card program
- Manage employee expense submissions and approvals
- Conduct vendor maintenance final reviews
- Perform key general ledger account analysis
- Complete bank account analysis and reconciliations
- Balance and reconcile financial modules to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Basic knowledge of standard computer applications, banking applications, and general accounting software
- Understanding of GAAP and GASB standards
- In-depth knowledge around policies & procedures related to accounting functions
- Strong understanding of IRS regulations, including 1099 and 1042 reporting requirements
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with proven time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
- 4–5 years of professional experience in accounting, banking, or finance
- Background in accounts payable/receivable, vendor management, GL and bank reconciliations, credit card program administration, and financial reporting
- Experience with internal controls and conflict resolution in financial processes
