Sr. Database Architect

Job title: Sr. Database Architect

Job Duties:

• Develop transformation processes. Develop data warehouse process models, including sourcing, loading, transformation, and extraction.
• Map data between source systems, data warehouses, and data marts. Establish ad-hoc processing programs to process data/automate system procedures, write SQL queries in the database.
• Build the connections between data sources and databases, gathering data schema and metadata. Test and debug programs daily, test programs or databases, correct errors, and make necessary modifications.
• Support overall AWS cloud architecture design and work on Proof-of-Concept (POC) when necessary.
• Identify and evaluate industry trends in database systems to serve as a source of information and advice for upper management. Identify, evaluate, and recommend technologies to achieve desired performance.
• Discuss, tackle technical problems to understand business and technical requirements, and convert to viable solutions.
• Understand data modeling and machine learning techniques, develop predictive forecasting models based on business requirements.
• Create data visualizations in Amazon QuickSight.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information System Management, Business Analytics, or a closely related field combined.
• Demonstrable ability in the skill/knowledge set in the following area: SQL, Python, Spark, Hadoop, Database Management, Data Warehousing, Data Mining, ETL, Predictive Analysis, Visualization, Machine Learning & Modeling, AWS related skills: Lambda, API Gateway, Glue, Athena, QuickSight, EMR, RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB, CloudFormation.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect–Professional is required.
